Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Her mother is English one-half Spanish. Parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. His father is an Argentine and has Scottish and English heritage. Her mother comes from Spanish as well as English roots. There are five siblings, four from her father's previous marriage. The family she grew up with was in Buenos Aires from the time she was 6 years old until they moved to Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy believes that moving to London was traumatizing as she wasn't able to master English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the transferred from Northlands. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in the school's plays. She quit the high school aged 16 in order to pursue her acting career. Taylor-Joy was a child actress who knew she would become one. She realized her dream when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modelling job.
