Lisa Edelstein is an American actress who is best known for her role on the Fox medical drama, House. After being raised by traditional Jews from Wayne, New York City was where she set her sights to study the theater at Tisch. Soon after, she was involved with club culture and caused enough fuss that she caught the interest of the media. Then she used her experience along with her fame and training to compose and write an original musical entitled Positive Me and also starred in the film. The first time she was hired, she got her first position at MTV as anchor of Awake on the Wild Side shortly after. Following the end of the series her appearances began in the film and television industry, beginning with small parts, but gradually establishing her place as an actor.
